What exactly does the new healthcare law say? Many people are stating that you can be criminally cited and charged if you fail to have healthcare insurance. Is that the gist of it? Or is there more to it?

I was told by the ruling party that we had to sign it into law to find out what it said. The criminal charges start in 2014 and begin with exorbitant fines for not having health care coverage. I have heard numbers from 3100 to 5700 for a single party. If I had 3-6k sitting around i’d get medical insurance, stupid government.
