Question by sscisme: What are the pros and cons of the healthcare bill?

Best answer:

Answer by Ted Sheckler
Most of the cons (besides tax increases) are all theoretical, and we won’t know until the bill is fully implemented in 2014.

Read the Christian Science Monitor article, it runs down a lot of what the bill is doing, you can figure out your own pros and cons from it.

What do you think? Answer below!

    Everyone gets healthcare so:

People who are self employed dont have to worry about not having insurance and those who have pre-existing conditions can still be covered.

You don’t have to stay in a miserable so you can continue to have health insurance.

Health facilities wont have so much debt because people who are dont have insurance are being seen and then skipping on the bill because they cant afford it.

    CON
The only con I can think of is that you are required to have it like car insurance or you get penalized. I personally are willing to live with that con.

con-forcing us to buy something violates civil liberties and also theres some health care guy who gets final say on your care, you dont.how nice…

To me, the most obvious pro is it eliminates some of the sneaky tricks that health care “providers” now play. I buy my own health insurance; that means I pay the corporation money every month in exchange for their promise to take care of my expenses if I get sick. (Since my health is excellent, I’ve never needed to call upon them for anything.)

But, I learned earlier this year that the corporation is allowed to drop me if I get sick. How is that “insurance” if they can end the contract as soon as the time comes that I actually need them? If they pull that on me, I’m going to ask for all the money I’ve paid them the last ten years, since if I pay for insurance then that’s what I should have.

Can you ask or say how do we give it to you sir? Or does one not see the ram pet emerging of a country that will fall pray to the will of government and not or free Society and way of life as we know it? Are you blind to what was said by those who said that this did nothing for the people and helped get the votes to pass it? Right now in Florida there is a woman up on the hill that voted for this bill that is asking for contributions so she can stay in and fight those who passed it. They put it on the news and cut her deep with what they said. They know that they have to face us now at a time that is most critical and damaging to them with the elections in November. Our freedom is most important and #1 to us all my friend but, when it says that Acorn will limit your care and the governments select people will deem what care and test your doctor can give you, well let me tell you that they will be in for a surprise. Doctors I’ve talked with don’t like the way that the people will be treated and without some test, you could die because they have to decide if it’s a must you must have. By that time you will see what a great thing these fools have done. Sure we are to have medical from our government but not at this price. It states that in the bill of rights. It does not say they can tell you how or what to have or that they decide your treatment. They select fools that don’t know Abdul obligate from glutinous maxi-mus let alone how to run a hospital. And since when did they get degrees in the medical field? I never knew that they where that multi talented and learned. If you saw the list that Horse ride put out on here you would see what I’m talking about and have been for so long. There are no good points in this bill at all. And once again we the people are screwed.
