Question by : Why did J e s u s want to help poor and sick people? Why did he make health insurance?
make health insurance mandatory for Pharisees and Sadducees alike, so that that those unfortunate could also get a free ride?

He could have made a good profit from health insurance companies by charging fees for his healing of the many, yet Jesus chose to establish health insurance exchange in the Temple and made his followers to go to the Temple and purchase health insurance from the wealthy merchants operating there under the threat of crucifixion of those who don’t.

Question by Liberals are just better people: Would Jesus want people to have affordable healthcare?
Or would he be wearing pancake makeup, witha teabag on his head, carrying a sign, protesting on the White House lawn?
Isn’t it hypocritcal to be a Christian and claim to care about others, yet not want to see all Americans get affordable healthcare because it’s going to come out of tax money that you already have to pay anyway?
Aren’t liberals just kinder, more caring people?
Is the true religious icon for conservatives really just the $ $ ?

Question by : Would this be a workable compromise with Republicans who want to repeal the health care law?
As a Liberal I even agree with Republicans that there is something wrong with forcing people to purchase health insurance.

I would gladly see the health care law repealed in exchange for one concession from the republican party. And this is it.

Allow those of us who buy private health insurance, those who are unable to buy health insurance due to pre-existing conditions and those who are not happy with employer based insurance to form
a Public Option Insurance Company.

This Public Option would be voluntary and open to those who wanted to go this route. The rest of you can stay put if you like your current plan.

How about it?

Question by Your Bitter Half: What kind of health care reform did Republicans want?
When Obama proposed a public option, Republicans claim it’s too Socialist.
When Obama proposed a private option, Republicans claim it “makes insurance companies rich.”

So my question is: What kind of health reform DID the Republicans want? The majority of Republicans said they do want some sort of health care reform, so I’m wondering what that is exactly.

1. Let people buy health care plans across state lines. Increased competition means lower prices for consumers.
2. Allow individuals, small businesses, and trade associations to pool together and acquire health insurance at lower prices, the same way large corporations and labor unions do.
3. end bogus lawsuits that increase not only health care costs but doctor’s concerns that they will be sued.
