Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) July 11, 2014

Diagnotes Inc. and Advanced Healthcare Associates (AHA) today announced an agreement that will place the Diagnotes mobile and web-based clinical communication system in the hands of AHAs medical directors, physicians and nurse practitioners at more than 100 nursing homes in Central Indiana and Kentucky.

Our highly skilled clinicians have been providing leading-edge geriatric care for nursing home patients since 1988, said Bryon Miller, JD, GNP of AHA. The Diagnotes technology makes us one of the first post acute care practices in the nation to incorporate truly secure, mobile communication throughout our organization from our 24-hour nurse triage call center to our medical directors, rounding clinicians and billing staff.

The two companies initiated a pilot program in April 2014, initially integrating the Diagnotes system into the triage call center where more than 20 trained nurses take calls around-the-clock from AHA-staffed nursing homes reporting patient information and requesting clinician consultation and orders.

The Diagnotes secure text messaging and secure voicemail technologies allow triage nurses to communicate vital information to the clinician, and to verify that it has been received, explained Dave Wortman, Diagnotes chairman and CEO. Because professional staff scheduling is incorporated, the triage center is able to quickly identify and contact the on-call physician or nurse practitioner.

The mobile and web-based platform is designed for a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environment, in which all users are able to use the smartphone, tablet, or laptop of their choice at any location. Diagnotes pushes critical information current medications, histories, allergies, etc. from the patients medical record to the clinician. Those facts, along with the triage information from the call center, efficiently provide what the practitioner needs to make a timely treatment decision.

The closed-loop system also allows the clinician to communicate follow-up and transition information to other team members, and to document the encounter, choosing from provided codes and descriptions to securely send details to the billing office. AHA, in the early stages of implementation, is already seeing decreased response times and increased revenue capture.

All evidence suggests that the Diagnotes communication system will allow us to improve the quality of care we deliver, with greater efficiency and effectiveness, said Meredith Hole, practice administrator. We couldnt be more pleased that we chose to partner with Diagnotes in this endeavor.

Wortman echoed the comments of Miller and Hole. We have an aging population, and the practice of geriatric medicine is bound to grow in nursing homes, smart medical homes, and congregate living, he said. AHA is clearly planning for the future by keeping its operations and staff on the cutting-edge of medical care for our seniors. Were proud to be their choice for enhanced mobile communication.

One of the essential security services needed to safeguard online transactions is flaxen exchange. In e-Medical transaction protocols two parties can exchange their signatures in a fair manner, so that either each party gain the other’s signature or no one obtain anything useful. This Thesis examines security solutions for achieving e-Medical transactions among Patient/Doctor/PMHIP/Bank. It proposes new security protocols based on the “Rebalanced Multi-Prime Jordan-Totient–RSA Cryptosystem and Signature Scheme “. This thesis concentrates on security solutions for achieving Threshold e-Medical transactions in e-Medical Health Insurance System applications, Threshold contract signing and Threshold certified delivery of valuable data. A Threshold reasonable contract signing protocol allows two potentially mistrusted parities to exchange their commitments (i.e., digital signatures) to an agreed contract over the Internet in a fair way, so that either each of them obtains the other’s signature, or neither party does.

With a recent Gallup poll showing 58% of Americans support ending marijuana prohibition, Publius, pen name for The Cannabis Papers: A citizens guide to cannabinoids (2011), notes the growing importance of any disconnect between our cannabinoid systems, healthcare, and what we weigh.

When we were writing The Cannabis Papers, recalled Bryan W. Brickner (part of Publius), we thought of the book as 36 spokes (chapters) with the Introduction and Potscript forming the hub of the wheel: the human cannabinoid system works in a similar manner.

Body systems have to work together, continued Brickner. Imagine the digestive, endocrine and circulatory systems all in need at once; since the cannabinoid system modulates all other systems in the body (it hears them, so to speak), it works as the hub a central part that energies radiate from to balance our diet and health.

According to research, the cannabinoid system facilitates energy intake (diet) and enhances energy storage and expenditure by influencing lipid and glucose metabolism.

With the 2011 publication of The Cannabis Papers, noted Brickner, we knew what the science was saying that our ignorance was hurting us and that it impacted things like obesity. Now, two years later, in the midst of the Affordable Healthcare implementation, I think wed all be healthier, wealthier and wiser if we took a look inside ourselves at our hub and start seeing the cannabinoids that are in all of us.

Brickner has a 1997 political science doctorate from Purdue University and is the author of several political theory books, to include The Promise Keepers (1999), Article the first of the Bill of Rights (2006), and The Book of the Is (2013).

The Cannabis Papers is available at online retailers and for free by download.

Hypersign releases new emergency alert system to work with its new IPG Gateway. This new software has been specifically designed with the K-12 educational system in mind.

Hypersign software allows you to take over full control of the display system with a push of a button. In the event of inclement weather, a fire or an intruder, school administration can display appropriate emergency alerts to every Hypersign digital signage display, classroom computer, teachers tablet, and paging system in 500 milliseconds. The alerts can be deactivated at any time and the displays will go back to their preprogrammed content. The Hypersign Emergency Alert software can also be used by the school administration to take over the displays for campus wide announcements or special news.

The IPG Gateway system interfaces using a standard cat5 patch cord with a single RJ45 connector and fan out cable to connect to alarm triggers within a facility. Each IPG-T unit can service up to 4 physical triggers.

When an event happens, the appropriate school faculty will issue an alert that will then travel to the IPG Gateway. Once it reaches the gateway it will be transmitted through the school’s network to the connected devices. The alert will display visual instructions along with audible messages to the overhead paging system. By being able to get this information out quickly Hypersign can potentially save lives in an emergency situation.

Lance Taylor, Director of Instrumental Technology in Laurens County District 56 says, Hypersign has been a great product because it gives us the ability to have multiple video feeds and we have displays in all the classrooms that we can take over at any time if we have any announcements that need to be made. I would recommend Hypersign because it works.

AVIONEX Software is an award winning software product development company focusing on building product that improves the lives of people. The Hypersign product is known for its intuitive interface making it the perfect digital signage solution for education (K12 and higher Ed) and healthcare. Hypersign, and other AVIONEX software products are available to purchase from AV Integrators throughout the US and Canada.
