What Obamacare disaster will hit next? The website launch was a fiasco, millions of Americans’ insurance has already been cancelled, the exchanges are still not working, and the enrollment numbers are abysmal. Betsy McCaughey uncovers the next disasters Obamacare is about to spring on an unsuspecting public, and shows you how to protect yourself.

  • Even children are subject to penalties for being uninsured

  • The federal government recommends if you want medical privacy, pay cash

  • Section 3000A of the health law awards bonus points to hospitals that spend the least per senior

  • You should be careful about giving your address, tax information, and social security number to a “navigator.” Most haven’t been background checked, and even HHS Secretary Sebelius admits some could be felons

Patient advocate Dr. Betsy McCaughey expertly dissects the 2,572-page health law, the thousands of pages of Obamacare regulations, and the cascade of “waivers” to the law in 2013, and lays out how all these will affect your family’s health and finances, your relationship with your doctor, and even your tax bill—breaking it down into manageable chunks and explaining everything in plain English.

Don’t be blindsided by the myriad new rules, regulations, and taxes that are coming down the pike. Begin today to understand what the Obama health law means for you, and prepare for it.

It is illegal in all states to drive with your handicap tag hanging from the rearview mirror, but it is not easy to hang and remove the placard as required by law. Mirortag is designed to protect and preserve your tag. It allows you to easily display and put away your handicap parking placard. Simply insert your tag into the plastic holder, place the hook on rearview mirror once. When parked, move plastic holder close to hook and the magnet will snap onto the metal plate of the holder to hold the placard in place. Before your drive, simply pull down the plastic holder to unlatch it from the hook. MirorTag has super strong magnets that keeps the placard and hook held together. Unlike all flimsy sheaths, its sturdy hook is sun & cold-resistant, protecting your placard from cracks, tears and creases. MirorTag is offered in 3 versions, MirorTag Bronze, MirorTag Silver and MirorTag Gold. Both Gold and Silver share the same hook, with the plastic holder is thinner in the Silver and Bronze models (18 mils) vs the Gold that comes with a sturdier plastic (60 mils). Extra hooks and magnets can be purchased separately for multiple cars. WARNING: rearview mirror built-in compass operation may be affected by the magnet. Made in USA.

Protect Your Bubble (http://us.protectyourbubble.com/), the UKs leading specialty insurance brand, has launched in the US market, offering pet insurance policies for dogs and cats with a variety of affordable options. Plans provide up to 90 percent reimbursement on covered vet bills for eligible accidents, illnesses, and hereditary conditions. Routine wellness coverage is also available to help consumers get reimbursed on routine vet treatments. Consumers can go to any vet in the country, and may be eligible to receive a 10 percent multi-pet discount.

According to the 2011-2012 APPA National Pet Owners Survey, 62 percent of U.S. households own a pet, which equates to 72.9 million homes. Pets have moved from the backyard to the family room because most American pet owners see their pet as a member of the family. In fact, according to a 2011 survey published in PsychologyToday.com, 81 percent of those surveyed consider their dogs to be true family members, equal in status to children. A 2009 Forbes.com article speculates that this increased focus on pets could be a result of many variables including, couples abstaining from having children until later in life, our real-life relationships have been exchanged for the over saturation of social media consumption, or the fact that our stressful lives warrant a furry, unconditionally loving four-legged friend to greet us when we come home.

Whatever the reason, one thing is for sure: Consumers insure their loved ones with health insurance; now its time to insure pets, too. Owners who wouldnt consider not treating their pet to needed care due to their financial situation may find Protect Your Bubble USA (http://us.protectyourbubble.com/) to be an affordable option for their pets healthcare.

Democratic Senators joined seniors’ advocates today to discuss Senator Michael Bennet’s amendment to protect and improve guaranteed Medicare benefits. The Senate health care bill will strengthen Medicare for the future and protect seniors’ benefits by making prescription drugs more affordable and ensuring Medicare funds go to improving seniors’ care — not to insurance companies. “[This amendment] honors our commitment that we have made to our seniors,” said Bennet. Highlighting recent Republican Senators’ scare tactics aimed at seniors, Senator Tom Harkin said, “I’m saddened that some of my colleagues from the Republican side have resorted to the politics of fear in their attempt to preserve a broken health care system that favors the health insurance industry and drug companies at the expense of our elderly and working families.”
