Some proactive companies offer health care options for their part-time employees but many do not. Part-timers who can’t get health care through their employer may be forced to purchase their coverage on the street which can be expensive since they are not part of any group.

Will the new health care reform do anything for these part-time Americans, such as incentivizing companies to offer health care options to all employees (part timers included), or by giving folks purchasing coverage on their own more leverage to obtain more competitive premiums?
