Question by Your Bitter Half: What kind of health care reform did Republicans want?
When Obama proposed a public option, Republicans claim it’s too Socialist.
When Obama proposed a private option, Republicans claim it “makes insurance companies rich.”
So my question is: What kind of health reform DID the Republicans want? The majority of Republicans said they do want some sort of health care reform, so I’m wondering what that is exactly.
Best answer:
Answer by Jake
1. Let people buy health care plans across state lines. Increased competition means lower prices for consumers.
2. Allow individuals, small businesses, and trade associations to pool together and acquire health insurance at lower prices, the same way large corporations and labor unions do.
3. end bogus lawsuits that increase not only health care costs but doctor’s concerns that they will be sued.
