According to a recent PNC Bank study, more than 60 percent of small business owners are currently projecting that their sales will increase over the next six months. Accordingly, a third of small business owners expect that because of increasing sales, they will hire at least one full-time employee over the next six months. BizFilings, a leader in online incorporation and a supporter of small businesses, wants small business owners to be fully prepared to embark on the hiring process and is offering tips to prepare a small business for hiring.
According to BizFilings, hiring an employee can impact the bottom line of a business, its important to make sure that a business is fully ready for hiring new employees. To assist entrepreneurs during this time of growth, BizFilings presents three important things small businesses should be aware of before hiring employees that will position them for a successful future.
Apply and obtain all necessary licenses, permits and insurance before hiring. Different small businesses require different paperwork, and theres no better time to get that squared away before bringing another person onboard. Additionally, some businesses will require employees to have licenses (often that are separate from the business itself). Insurance is also crucial for small businesses workers compensation insurance is mandatory for any small business, while disability insurance (which covers eligible employees for non-work-related sickness or injury) is required for small business in only certain states.
Be prepared for payroll taxes. When an employee is hired at a small business, various types of new tax obligations, as well as payroll tax deductions, arise. For example, federal and state taxes generally are withheld from employees wages, along with half of FICA taxes. Small business owners typically must pay the matching half of FICA taxes as well as federal and state unemployment taxes. Payroll taxes can become even more complex if there are different forms of employee compensation such as tips, expense reimbursements or retirement contributions. For more help with payroll taxes, refer to IRS Publication 15, the Employers Tax Guide, to understand tax obligations as an employer.
Consider incorporation to protect your business. According to BizFilings, there are many tax breaks that can come from incorporating a small business. Incorporation provides liability protection giving a layer of protection between employers personal assets and business debts. Hiring employees is an important next step for small businesses but incorporation is a crucial step to help mitigate risk for the next phase of a business.
Entrepreneurs are making this country better by providing an increasing number of jobs, and its no surprise that the second half of 2012 is projected to continue that trend, says Karen Kobelski, member of the executive leadership team at BizFilings. Its important for small business owners to make sure that theyre covered in case of the worst case scenario because by adding an employee youre not only growing your company but growing your level of risk as well.

Duport Associates have discovered that 25 new companies were formed in February 2012 with the word clinical as part of their company name, up from a previous high of 21 in March 2003.
This new rise coincided with the controversial Health and Social Care Bill making its way through parliament, as many companies and organisation see new opportunities in the health industry.
The new interest in clinical companies just goes to show that many businesses are hoping to get more involved in providing healthcare services to the public and to the NHS, said Peter Valaitis, Managing Director of Duport Associates.
But the rise of so many new clinical company formations could also be part of a new emphasis on science and scientific research used by a wide range of industries including fitness, beauty and food.
The word ‘clinical’ automatically makes you think of cleanness, scientific excellence and cold hard facts, so its a great term to use if you want that to be peoples first impression of your business or your products, Peter added.
As well as healthcare organisations, companies such as cleaners and caterers can also benefit from being thought of as clinical, as the emphasis on this medical term can help build an expectation of a more thorough service. This can also be a huge boon if your company hopes to get contracts with the NHS, schools or medical units.
With the Health and Social Care Bill now approved, there may be more companies seeking to be thought of as clinical and suitable to work alongside the NHS, and it is possible that this record high becomes a sustained increase over the next few months.

While many companies are reeling from poor sales performance, Liberty Health Network, LLC (LHN) reports that all business units are experiencing a surge in sales, boosting revenues, as well as commissions for the company’s independent Marketing Associates.
We have seen several factors combining, creating awesome revenue growth. Says LHN Chief Financial Officer Tracy Grevert. It now seems like all systems are coming together synergistically. What is really exciting is that all of our internal indicators are trending upward as well, pointing to an exciting future.
While the company is seeing increased revenue, the news is equally good for independent Marketing Associates. The LHN Matrix pay plan is designed to return 81% of total networking sales volume directly to the sales field, creating a boost in the paychecks of Marketing Associates. MD Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of consulting, interim management, revenue cycle turnaround, EMR/PM implementation and remediation services, today announced the release of MD DataStor, a set of software tools that allows physician group practices to increase performance while still utilizing data from their retired practice management system.
MD DataStor provides fast, secure access to data and can be used by group practices with vast amounts of data to avoid their practice management system being bogged down and not running at its full capacity. It also can be used by practices that are consolidating due to acquisitions by eliminating the risks of mishandling data coming from multiple organizations using different practice management systems.
“Practices are often faced with licensing fees and other costs to maintain older applications only to access data from an old system and have to deal with decreased system performance, lost or damaged data and more,” remarked Paul Casey, President of MD Solutions. “MD DataStor gives them quick and easy access to that data without negatively affecting their system performance.”
MD DataStor provides practices with an advanced archival solution for the storage of excess patient data, from registration information to charges and payments and more. It significantly reduces costs by eliminating the need to operate or maintain multiple systems and cost-effectively stores old data. MD DataStor also allows practices to access their legacy data for running reports and editing existing data and prevents lost or damaged data.

Regardless of what the CBO says, the Health Care bill will increase our debt. Just look at Social Security and Medicaid.
I said over a year ago that ObamaCare didn’t muster third grade math. Charles Krauthammer said fourth grade math a few days later but I think he was talking California schools although I might be being too kind to California. New estimates now are that health insurance premiums will increase 12.5% in 2011. The liberals were always claiming that ObamaCare would save money. Now watch, they will blame it all on those evil insurance companies with their 2.2% average profit margin and who deny claims a third as much a Medicare and claim that the government needs to take over healthcare. Great, it was also on the news that the taxpayers are picking up the tap for the $7 billion per year that the post office is losing. The post office doesn’t pay the 38% corporate tax that the private sector like UPS and FEDEX have to pay and they still can’t compete. With the government’s track record on this and other things like Amtrak, for the same quality healthcare I would think that half of Americans that pay taxes would have a $2000 month increase in various taxes for in equal health care. The liberals will tell us that it’s free if it’s hidden in taxes. A change we can believe in, yes we can. Liberalism, logics retarded cousin.
Govt: No call for Social Security increase in 2011
The government is expected to announce this week that more than 58 million Social Security recipients will go through another year without an increase in their monthly benefits.

Healthcare spending in the United States will almost double and consume nearly 20 percent of the economy by 2019, but no substantial increase of cost is expected from a major healthcare overhaul introduced by the Obama administration, it was reported on Thursday.
