Blue Water was recently recognized by the Web Marketing Associations 12th annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) for the American Lung Associations Share Your Story campaign. Named Best Associations Integrated Ad Campaign and Best Health Care Integrated Ad Campaign, the campaign honored Lung Cancer Awareness Month and provided support to patients, caregivers and survivors whose lives have been impacted by the disease.

The Share Your Story campaign is part of the American Lung Associations Facing Lung Cancer microsite, http://www.mylungcancersupport.org, which provides resources and education to individuals and families living with a lung cancer diagnosis. By facilitating public discussion around lung cancer, the #1 cancer killer of men and women in the United States, the Share Your Story campaign continues to help build awareness and reduce stigma around the disease, offering a source of support and providing a sense of reassurance and inspiration to those facing lung cancer.

The campaign consisted of a revamped homepage mosaic showcasing real people’s lung cancer stories and photos, landing pages where people could submit their stories and read those of others, buttons to facilitate social media sharing, and a tab to gather stories from Facebook. Additionally, a press release, e-newsletter, Facebook posts and Tweets (using the hashtag #LCAM) were sent out to encourage story submissions and honor the stories shared. As a result of this campaign, visits to the website in the month of November increased by 102 percent from the previous month, with a total of 130 stories shared.

DANBURY, Connecticut (PRWEB) May 22, 2013

A $ 50 million fundraising campaign for Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital was publically launched yesterday at a high-energy, multimedia event at the Candlewood Inn in Brookfield, Connecticut. John M. Murphy, MD, President and CEO of Western Connecticut Health Network, announced that to date $ 30 million has been raised in support of Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospitals.

Several major gifts have already given the campaign momentum. The new Emergency Department at Danbury Hospital will be named The Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Department of Emergency Medicine, while the Emergency Department at New Milford Hospital will be named The Arnhold Department of Emergency Medicine. The Spratt Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was named in recognition of a gift from Harold A. Spratt and his family.

The campaign, called Imagine Build Transform, will enhance the ability of the Networks hospitals to provide world-class, state-of-the-art, patient-centered care to the people of Western Connecticut and nearby New York. On the research front, the campaign aims to foster groundbreaking discoveries that will yield improved diagnoses and targeted therapies for patients.

According to Murphy, We are undertaking this campaign to ensure that Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital continue to provide access to high-quality, compassionate care that saves and improves lives. Our entire healthcare network is being transformed into a national model, one that shows how to deliver highly effective, efficient and personalized medicine. We are also demonstrating how pioneering research can be translated into care that addresses the needs of local communities.

Gifts to the campaign will support major new construction, new medical technology and other improvements for inpatients and outpatients, as well as groundbreaking research. More specifically:

Disabled children need schools and services that are right for them. Parents need access to respite care and other support. Glenn Addisons campaign in the 2012 US Senate race has gained a great deal of momentum in both print and television this week on a variety of prominent political issues. Glenn Addison announced today on the Sirius/XM radio Mike Church Show that he endorses Ron Paul for President. The decision to change a policy of neutrality regarding presidential support was due to concern that the constitutional conservative message will not be effectively represented in the Texas Primary. The presumptive nomination of Mitt Romney has changed the press coverage and important issues are not getting attention. Ron Paul has been an unwavering messenger for the supremacy of individual freedom, a core principal of Constitutional Conservatism. Ron Paul is greatly admired by Glenn Addison.

Addison’s campaign manager Phil Pepin pointed out that much of the press in Texas has already noticed how Glenn Addison shared so many of Ron Pauls views on several issues. In a May 8th article Dallas Morning News reporter Robert Garrett wrote, [Glenn Addison] has been a crowd-pleaser at several GOP events because of his wit and Ron Paul-esque comments about the Federal Reserve and American “empire-building.” Glenn Addison also has voiced concerns that Senate Candidate Ted Cruz is offering fool’s gold in his attempt to court Ron Paul supporters in Texas, and is instead aligned with Goldman Sachs and other organizations. Pepin said, When you look below the surface, Ted Cruz’s actions demonstrate his empty rhetoric by only proposing token fixes. It should also concern Ron Paul supporters that Ted Cruz endorsed Rick Perry, but has yet to endorse Ron Paul.

In a previous interview with Mike Church, the host offered Mr. Addison a choice of Rand Paul’s budget plan or Paul Ryan’s budget plan in a question about which one he’d support if elected. Glenn Addison surprised the host with a third option. Addison said, with all due respect to Senator Rand Paul, I would support Ron Pauls budget that cuts a trillion dollars of government spending in one year. Ron Paul’s budget cuts are significantly larger than his sons plan calls for. In addition to being endorsed by Mike Church, Glen Addison was featured on and endorsed by the Robert Bell Radio. Robert Scott Bell stated that Glen Addison is the only true Liberty candidate in Texas for the US Senate race of 2012″.

Glenn Addison for US Senate Campaign also announced recently they have completed a creative television commercial that began airing on May 8th. 2012. The commercial highlights facts regarding the troubling issues with Ted Cruz and Lt Governor Davis Dewhurst’s voting records, offering Glenn Addison’s Constitutional Conservatism as a much needed alternative to status quo politicians.

Glen Addison was also featured in the Dallas Morning News for calling the recent actions of the Tea Party Express movement reprehensible after the organization invited Addison and other candidates to speak in Austin last Sunday, and then, mere hours before the event, shunned all invitees excepting Ted Cruz. The action angered many and seemingly resulted in a less-than-ideal turnout for the groups rally. Glen stated that the un-inviting of guests by the Tea Party Express makes Chicago politics look nice. This move by the Tea Party Express has been called completely unprofessional by candidates.

Wenatchee, WA (PRWEB) November 14, 2007

eHealthinfoline.com has become an important source of health and medical information for consumers. While the primary focus of the website has been covering the most common medical conditions, such as heart disease and cancer, they have also focused their efforts on monitoring breaking news about new drugs. Recently, for example, the website reported on a popular fat removal drug treatment known as lipodissolve, which hasn’t been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Today eHealthInfoLine.com announces the launch of its Healthcare Education Campaign: How to be an Informed Consumer.

“Last month we launched our Consumer Health News Monitoring Program, a broadening strategy where we not only track scientific breakthroughs and new drug approvals, but lawsuits and medical warnings as well,” says Bill Francis, a senior editor for eHealthinfoline.com. “Now we want to go a step further by launching a new initiative aimed at educating consumers based on the findings of this monitoring program.”

The monitoring program has tracked cautions from leading medical organizations warning consumers against the use of lipodissolve, also known as phosphatidylcholine injections or injection lipolysis. “When a warning is issued about a new drug, eHealthinfoline.com feels it necessary to spread the news. Public awareness about the safety of new drugs is our main concern,” Francis says.

Lipodissolve is meant to remove small deposits of fat through a series of phosphatidylcholine-based (PC/DC) injections. eHealthinfoline.com has been keeping a close eye on the treatment ever since the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts endorsed a ban in September against physicians administering lipodissolve unless as a part of an FDA-approved clinical trial. The ban has since been temporarily enjoined based on an appeal by a lipodissolve business but remains under review.

Last month, the Physician’s Coalition for Injectable Safety issued a consumer warning about lipodissolve. The alert advises consumers that FDA-approval is critical for any pharmaceutical injected into the body. Dr. Julius Few of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, a member of the Coalition warns, “these should not be mistaken as an accepted medical or cosmetic treatment of localized fat reduction” and “are unproven medical treatments.” In addition, the safety of lipo-dissolve has been under scrutiny by other major medical societies, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Both discourage doctors from administering the injections because the drugs are not FDA-approved and long-term effects of the drugs have not been documented.

One lipo dissolve advertisement claims “lipodissolve is becoming popular with the elite and is an ideal treatment for celebrities and royalty,” so it’s no wonder that the treatment is growing in popularity. Staff at eHealthinfoline.com want to make sure that consumers know the details before choosing for or against any new drug, including lipodissolve. “The average person may not know the facts behind a drug or procedure and therefore are unable to make informed decisions or even ask the right questions,” says Francis. “We believe consumers base their decision on advertisements and patient testimonials, not scientific data. We want to prevent this from happening.”

A search on the eHealthinfoline.com website reveals that Dr. Roger Daily of The Physician’s Coalition for Injectable Safety warns consumers that “[lipodissolve] is not FDA approved nor has it been formally tested for predictable results or safety. That alone should steer customers away from the marketing hype.” To prevent consumers from being overwhelmed by what he calls “hype,” eHealthinfoline.com encourages patients to ask questions and do their homework when considering any medical procedure, including lipodissolve.

“Online research helps, but one must be wary of the source of the information,” warns Francis. “Look for balanced sources and weigh out the pros and cons of the medical procedure on your own.”

As a part of this Healthcare Education Campaign, eHealthinfoline.com has listed a set of questions outlining what a consumer should ask a physician before receiving any type of drug treatment (http://www.ehealthinfoline.com/healthcare-education.html). “Our company is devoted to informing the public by providing up-to-date information on medical conditions and new procedures and treatments,” says Francis. “We hope these questions will help consumers make the most informed decisions. After all, you only have one body, so be educated on what you’re doing to it.”
