Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln campaigned in North Little Rock, along with NLR Mayor and ICLEI President Pat Hayes against Bill Halter. Lincoln had the ability to stop the Governmentcare bill, but refused to do so. Lincoln brags about the bacon she has brought home and her chairmanship on a committee which was a bribe for her vote on Obama’s healthcare bill. In this video, Pat Hayes refuses to even mention Bill Halter’s name. Lincoln will be running against John Boozman for the position of United States Senator from Arkansas in November. Neither Boozman or Lincoln are for Union Card-Check or Public Option which means the only option for Union/Soros supporters is to write in Bill Halter’s name.

With no townhalls on healthcare being held, I was forced to crash a groundbreaking ceremony for a roundable intersection being built in North Little Rock. Blanche Lincoln, Vic Snyder, Pat Hayes, and other liberals were there to brag about their shovel-ready bacon that they brought home. I managed to get to ask Blanche Lincoln if she would vote to stop HR3590, the government takeover of healthcare bill passed by the House & Senate and being worked on behind closed doors by Harry Reid. After Lincoln claims that we must pass healthcare reform, I remind her that she knows there is a better bill that actually reforms healthcare, HR2520 The Patient’s Choice Act of 2009. She claims that parts of the HR2520 are in HR3590, like healthcare accounts & tort reform. Despite knowing the cost to the State of Arkansas, knowing that so many people hate the bill, and agreeing that the Nebraska Compromise was a bribe, Blanche appeared to still plan on voting for Government takeover of our healthcare.

Blanche Lincoln finds herself pressured from all sides. Arkansas isn’t particularly friendly to progressives; especially in an off-year election coming right after the country elected its first African-American President. While tea-baggers and Republicans marshal scream and shout, progressives are squeezing the Senator from the other side, insisting that she support a health care bill containing a public option. She’s got some tough choices ahead of her; for now, it looks like she’s keeping her options open.
