NO! NO! NO! to this health care bill; it all sounds good when Obama gets on the air waves blowing smoke up people’s ASS! What he isn’t saying is under this new Health Care Plan the parents or parent with children has to keep there child on there health care plan until they reach the age 26! I’ve always been a Democrat and even voted for Obama, but I must agree with the rep on this one there is parts of this bill that really “stinks”, and the public is in for a very rude awaking should this pass.
If there is no public option i the health care bill it is a pile of garbage bill.
Tell your democrat representatives that if they don’t put it in the bill you will not vote for them next time around.
They are showing themselves to be part of the rich corrupt powers party with every action they take (along with the republicans).
Force them to do the right thing, because they do not want to.
Good response, people seem to forget that we are already paying for the health care costs of those that do not have insurance ! but only at a higher cost , because of the inefficient system, and higher ER costs. also low cost check ups might have prevented the need for ER in the first place.
dude do you have any idea what is being proposed? No one is forced to do anything, under the public option, it just means competition to the insurance companies which means more choice and lower prices. and under the medicare thing, everyone is covered, even you.

Its not a tax btw, its health insurance. Everyone is getting older and will need healthcare. I’ve gone without my whole life, but I can feel it creeping up on me

a point that i have yet to hear anyone make is with health care for everyone, the medical field will boom with jobs for nurses, doctors, new technology and everything else involved in the medical field. 42 million americans who are uninsured now will flock to the doctor. the problem with that i guess would be that the billionares who are robbing us now wont get much of a cut of the influx of money…
You want to know why healthcare for all works with the military but will not for the country? Its called not enough doctors, rationing, and not enough money. The government is broke. To pay for healthcare for all would mean taxes would either skyrocket or the money would be printed, either way it decreases standard of livings. As Benjamin Franklin said, “Those who give up their liberty for a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Nationalizing healthcare will lead to a shortage of doctors, rationing, and no incentive for new medical breakthroughs. Just look how the government runs the post office and Amtrak. They are all broke and must be subsidized every year with billions. Healthcare would put the final nail in the coffin. I think thats what obama wants. This is insane. Stop thinking govt can save you.

Maybe if we payed even 1/10th of the money that we pay to insurance companies to the government maybe we wouldnt be in a deficit. The majority of your health care dollars goes to filling some fat cats wallet. How come countries with national health care can sell prescriptions for 6-12 dollars that we pay 100+ for? Cause their government can buy more and therefore get discounts. And even if an insurance company could do that do you think you’d see those savings?? Hells no.
Put it this way, the military..of which i was a part of for 8 yrs, has high quality health care. Paid for by the government. When they are active mind you. Now why cant that same plan be used for the everyday american? People say it would raise taxes too much. Id rather pay more taxes and know for a fact that ill get the attention I need then pay 100 a week and then get denied when I need it most. To me its simple, why people fight this is beyond me.
Anthony Weiner is brilliant. Joe Scarborough is a dumbass. If he cannot answer the question of what the insurance companies bring to the table, his position is dead. Any “free market” company must bring a value added product or service to be worth anything. They do not, healthcare is not a commodity to be bought and sold. The concept of Medicare for everyone is the best “reform” message I have heard. Oh, and what does the blonde do on the program?
The President is weak and embarassing himself each day. He let the Republicans stop him from passing a bill for Public Option. He hasn’t even gone public about those 5 democratic senators that were paid $10,000,000 to vote NO on the bill. Barney Frank and Joe should start making the decisions. He’s even letting the Generals influence his decision on the wars. HE’S SUPPOSE TO BE THE Commander-in-Chief.
Will anyone explain why a program that garantees healthcare for people that don’t have coverage is WRONG? What’s wrong WITH HELPING PEOPLE that can’t afford coverage or HAVE PRECODITIONS? People with preconditions get the SAME LETTER in the mail from Blue Cross, Athnea, ALL else, telling them that they can’t cover them because they HAVE A precondition.
