I don’t see a connection except that bush may have used the fires to draw attention away from vetoing childrens health insurance.

The Senate needed super majority to have an antiveto bill but many of the senators were absent because a big chunk were from California. I did not knew there was a Vote on healthcare until you mentioned. As I talked to my friends in California they told me the winds were hi Sunday and Monday but they die out Tuesday and Wednesday. Nevertheless they decided not to use the Air power against the fire. Most of the firefighters were just waiting for the fire to reach the structures and burn fuel but not aggressive enough to combat the fire.
For what I read the Democrats loss their super majority and now the bill under the President’s mercy which we know he will veto.

Who wants to create smoke curtain with this situation? Did this people in this post did a research in how the Healthcare work around the GLOBE? Is Healthcare an issue more complex than the demagogic promotion at the Congress?… Is demagogic promotion the healthcare at the Congress? Is necessary to increase manpower at the Border?
