for those that don’t know the Medicare Part D drug bill was a massive giveaway of $900 billion to the drug companies and the increase of drug cost.. they didn’t pay for this they borrowed the money from China and added that sum to the national debt….check the Pharma companies’ stock prices after the bill was signed..same thing with the insurance companies nothing was changed in health care except they got millions more people to rip off

Imagine a Drug Counter. Britain goes up to windows order 100 pills. Teller says $1. Canadian gets same drug $1. Uncle Sam walks up and teller says $1k. Next France walks up and teller says $1. Britain and Canada laugh and say “Uncle Sam is a fool”.
America needs the power to negotiate like other countries.

  • lewislwood:

Bush Campaigned on Drug reform, Americans were going to Canada to get cheap drugs. This bill made that practice illegal. Most in the picture got jobs with Drug companies. This was a drug bill giveaway.

Katty Kay is the Washington Correspondent for BBC World News America and appeared on NBC’s Meet The Press, Feb 28:
    KAY:
“At the moment, America has globally the 37th highest quality of care in the world, that’s just above Cuba, just below Costa Rica. Now is that where America sees itself in terms of its quality of care? And that number will decline. It’s going to slip down the global pole of where the level of health care is if something isn’t done about health care reform.

Frontline did a one hour report comparing healthcare systems around the world.
At the top was the more recently conceived Taiwanese version. The chairperson in charge of health care said the system was devised copying from the best of what could be seen around the globe. They took from the Japanese, German, Canadian, British & Swiss systems.
Gov. places guidelines upon hospitals and doctors offices regarding maximums they may charge. Doctors aren’t as rich but hey still compete for business.

Netherland & Switzerland, 99% coverage and no public plan, but insurance companies are regulated like utility companies. Taiwan & Singapore have best medical care system in the world, 99% coverage, high quality, NO WAITING, and they are government run with less 5% GDP. Unreasonable premium, preexisting condition exclusion, changing drug formulary, deny treatment, medicare drug GAP for Senior are just plain wrong. Come on my fellow American, let us fix the healthcare for our children sakes!

bush passed many bills in the middle of the night!

  • whiteguypl:

@Orchard6773 more benefits kick in then not, you have no idea what your talking about so stop talking.

  • Orchard6773:

This is disgusting and these politicians are frauds. Liberals have front-loaded this bill with taxes and back-loaded the bill with benefits, which are mostly unknown at this time. Taxes kick in next year but no “benefits” for years.

This has nothing to do with helping the American people. It’s the ultimate power grab and clears the way for more socialism, even higher taxes, less freedom for all Americans.
