A better question for Jon would’ve been: What aspects of the House bill do you think stand a chance of getting to the president’s desk? The public plan is surely not one of them, so can we be practical about this?

I agree with Mr. Potter when he says that the final bill is a good foundation bill we can build upon. Depending on the changes and benefits that come into effect and how they’re treated by the media, one of the parties and/or the insurers will hang–by their own hand or ours. Watch!
