What would real healthcare reform look like? What would be specific elements of the bill that would prevent premiums from going up or to keep the sick from being denied insurance?

Unfortunately it is very unlikely the bill will be repealed. It would take congress agreeing on something which will not happen. Unless they had 2/3 majority, the president would veto it.
So, we are stuck with a bill that has no reform. We really needed reform. Now we don’t have it and Americans are going to get what they deserve: crappy care, and a bad economy. Sorry
I find it funny that no one can seem to answer this. I think that speaks volume. Conservatives and republicans do not want any kind of healthcare reform. They might criticize this bill for being too much or not enough but would never ever actually pass a bill that would fix the problem they have. Let’s be honest. If the republicans kick the dems out in Nov like they talk about, then they could with a majority pass their own new law with a repeal provision. I actually belive Obama would sign such a bill if it was submitted with the real fixes the cons claim it will have. But that’s just a tactic to attack the bill.
